Cooperative Extension is the outreach arm of the College of Agriculture and Life
Sciences at N.C. State University and the School of Agriculture at N.C. A&T State
University. We are also a department of Forsyth County Government. We are county
agents, professors, scientists and volunteers working together to improve the quality

The "10% Campaign" is an effort to promote local farmers and foods and to encourage Forsyth County consumers to spend 10 percent of their food dollars on foods from local sources.

The Dixie Classic Fair, the second largest agricultural Fair in North Carolina and owned and operated by the City of Winston-Salem, has released the 2010 catalog for all competitive contests at the Fair.

Summertime means an abundance of fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables. The Forsyth Co. Dept. of Public Health encourages residents to shop at local Farmers Markets for fresh, affordable, and tasty local produce.
