    The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has received notification from Governor Bev Perdue that the agency has been awarded funding for its Burglary/Robbery Initiative.

    R.L. Horton Earns Credentials as Cert. Crime Scene Anyalyst

    On April 9th, Investigator R. L. Horton earned the credentials as a Certified Crime Scene Analyst through the International Association for Identification (IAI). There are only ten Certified Crime Scene Analysts in North Carolina and 177 throughout the world.

    Citizens’ Academy Graduates New Class

    On April 14, 2010, six new Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office volunteers successfully completed training requirements to serve at the FCSO. The graduates were honored at a graduation ceremony and presented with their graduation certificates by Sheriff Schatzman.

  7. 2009 Officer of the Year

    2009 Officer of the Year

    Sgt. Stan Barr’s actions directly contributed to a student’s survival from a medical incident. As such, Sgt. Barr has been recognized by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education with a Life Saving Award and named 2009 Officer of the Year.
